How to tell which model you have

Hi

I bought a Sylvania Tablet off E-bay. It was listed as a SYNET7LP 7". I don't have power supply and it will not turn on. I opened it and has 8.4 volt Battery. Read voltage with meter has about 5 volts. On/Off and Menu switch on back. Power, Host ,CTG, Headset, HDMI, memory chip, all these are on one end in a bumped out area.

Need help with model and Power supply P/N

Sylvania SYTABEX7-2 No recovery image is found, try recovery from SD

The Sylvania SYTABEX7-2 tablet does not go past the infotmic logo.
I have tried to force it to reboot with the power button-Menu button-and touching the screen.
It starts to recover the image and then I get the message No recover image is found, try recovery from SD.
In a post on this site I found a System file that someone said to try so I downloaded it on the SD card but I don't know how to force the device to look at the SD card.

Any suggestions? Do anyone know what to press to force it...

The update files are multi-part files containing - U0 = u-boot-nand.bin, UBOOT, RD = Ramdisk, LK = Kernel, ADD_USER = Userdata.img, ADD_AS = System.img

I have a cheapie Chinese SVP TPC 0902 9" tablet that is apparently stuck in a boot loop. I have looked everywhere for the key combo to force factory restart but nothing is working.

I am guessing this one probably needs to reload from an SD card. I have read a lot of comments in the Sylvania forum that lead me to believe the hardware may be firmware compatible (or that Sylvania buys their hardware from SVP, etc.). This tablet is android 4 I really don't want to downgrade the OS if I can...

Please help a newb with SVP TPC 0902 firmware/rom SD restore

Sylvania - micro SD issues

Got my son a Sylvania SYNET7LP for Xmas.
Got the downloading worked out. Having issues with tablet seeing the 8G Micro SD card I installed.
Are there any special instructions to get it working out there? Sylvania website is not very helpful.
Or point me in the right direct.

Recovery

I just figured out to get into recovery mode on this thing. It is different than the other method posted. I think there are at least 2 sets of hardware used with these tablets.

Hold the tablet so you can:

Press on and hold the touchscreen, then press the power and menu buttons at the same time.

It then says if you want to recover press the required buttons. I pressed power, and menu again and it restored.

I have been able to repeat it over and over..

No Firmware On My Tablet. Help!

I have a Sylvania Infotcmi SYNET7LP Syntabex7-2 tablet with NO firmware on it, and I cannot find the firmware I need to install on it. I have a MicroSD card but don't know how to make it bootable (I ruined my cell phone reformatting the SD card so this is very important to me). Please help me:

1. find the proper firmware for my device
2. tell me the process by which to install it via SD; and
3. tell me how to get the SD card to boot for the image installation.

OK I need a little help i have a Synet7lp-ds tablet hardware id 12.7.0.12 running stock android 2.2 ROM but right now it is showing that there is 0 internal storage after doing some searching on this forum i have found a lot of information on how to fix the issue i need to flash the stock ROM through recovery the only problem is i cannot find this ROM anywhere so if anyone has a copy of this ROM or a ROM that will work on this device it would be appreciated.

As I have scoured the internet for information, I have discovered that numerous individuals have asked this question throughout other forums, some in their own threads, but they all seem to die away with insufficient answers. Hopefully, some of the skilled members here will be able to give complete answers; rather than referrals to other pages that aren't specific to this device. My SYNET7LP is currently running Android DG2.20. I'd like to upgrade to later Android version. What is the most recent version of Android OS this unit can run? (my endgame is to get a working version of Goolge Play (or at least Google Market).

I rooted my Sylvania and was operating with LauncherPro and made the grave, GRAVE error of deleting the original launcher app that came with the tablet. As luck would have it . . . LauncherPro continues to crash and I have no way of continuing as i made the grave, GRAVE error deleting the original launcher app. The tablet will start-up but will not allow access to anything without LauncherPro.

I don't really care what I do to the tablet . . . all of my goodies are stored on the sdcard. I...

SO just got this tablet from my friend today, he had no charger for it so I went out and bought a suitable one at radio shack for the hell of it and amazingly it works! ive got a few issues with it though, aside from the total lack of support....which I should have guessed considering Sylvania is more known in the automotive lighting industry.... im seeing a few bugs and im hoping there are some solutions to this. First off the battery indicator is constantly reading 100% until the thing...

New (to me) Sytab10st.....got some concerns i need help with

If your tablet no longer boots and/or hangs at the logo, try dropping an email to support@sylvaniacomputers.info. If you have a receipt showing your tablet is less than one-year old, they pay the shipping both ways; otherwise you pay shipping. However, the support people can reinstall the operating system free. It took me six weeks (they lost my tablet at their warehouse), but I did receive a replacement tablet with the operating system...

My Sylvania 7 tablet wont charge !! Battery issue ??

Hi All,

My sylvania 7 inch tablet is not charging using the adapter. The adapter works fine on other devices, but my tablet is not charging. The tablet starts momentarily on hitting power button and then switches off !

The red light does not turn on when i put it on charging. Can anyone help what can be the problem ??

I had recently purchased a Sylvania SYTABEX7.

During my testing of the unit, I realized at least two things that needed addressed by the manufacturer:
- USB port were not functioning
- Updater would not allow the unit to update to the latest firmware release

I called: Digital Gadgets / 1-888-571-0866
Explained them my problems, and at no extra cost to me, they are sending me the SYNET7LP
The difference between the two models is the HDMI port, and the SYNET7LP will have the updated...

Sylvania 10 inch Tablet does not boot.

I had purchased the Sylvania 10 inch tablet with Android 2.3 built in. All of a sudden the Tablet is not booting up at all. It switches on and the Green colored text "Android" is displayed followed by the Orange "Sylvania". Then it hangs forever. Usually the Sylvania logo will animate for a while and the device will be ready in a minute. I removed the SD card and tried with no luck.

Please help. TIA.:confused:
